The exhibition will provide an opportunity to establish contacts for business development during its three days

Kikava Aleksandr, a senior analyst in the marketing department at Batumi Sea Port

We are participating in TransCaspian for the first time this year. It is a very important exhibition for us, as many of our partners are based in Azerbaijan. In addition, a large flow of transit goods is going to and coming from Azerbaijan through our port and this is our main line of activity, accounting for about 50% of our transit cargo.

Our port was founded in 1878 and was one of the first oil ports on the Black Sea. In 2008 the port was acquired by KazTransOil, a state company of Kazakhstan and a subsidiary of KazMunayGaz.

The port mainly deals in the transit of oil, but we also have a dry cargo terminal, Batumi Container Terminal. At this exhibition we hope to find partners and establish a personal connection with them, become better acquainted with those with whom we have long been corresponding, and build up some options for future co-operation. We have worked closely with Azerbaijan since the mid-2000s, and we want to develop these links and contacts.
The exhibition is quite large and the organization of a high standard. There are many companies participating with whom we would like to meet and establish contacts. We hope that such a possibility will be presented to us during the three days of the exhibition.
